Ms. Lopez

Welcome to Ms. López's Language Arts class

I am excited to be your son's or daughter's language arts teacher this school year.  Teaching your child is a great privilege and responsibility.  I will do my best in ensuring that they have a safe and motivating classroom environment.  I feel that teaching with technology is a MUST in today's world.  Our classroom contains a SMART board, projector, and a Chromebook cart which gives students the opportunity to have their own laptop.  I ask that all student s treat our equipment with respect.  Finally, I always strive to achieve a healthy home-school relationship since it is crucial to your student's success.

About Me:

In order to pursue my lifelong passion of teaching and working with teenagers,  I chose to attend Cal Poly Pomona where I majored in English with a minor in Spanish.  I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in the spring of 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education.  I was hired at Sierra Vista Junior High as an intern in 2004.  I have been an English and Dual Language Spanish teacher for the past fourteen years.  After five years as an educator, I decided to further my education and earn a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in 2010.  I have one son, Junior Espino, who is in his first year of college.  I enjoy traveling and trying new things.
