After reading the two sources and taking notes about the articles write a suspense story using the details from the two articles. Imagine that you are an archaeologist who works with Sarah Parcak’s team. You and some other archaeologists are sent to Egypt to help dig up a site that Parcak’s team discovered. During your dig, something surprising happens. Write a suspense story about what you find at the site and what feelings are going through your head as you make the discovery. The story should be three paragraphs long.


Writers often do research to add realistic details to the setting, characters, and plot in their stories. When writing your story, find ways to use
information and details about armchair archaeology and Egyptian pyramids to improve your story and help you develop your characters, the setting, and the plot. Use details, dialogue, and description where appropriate.

Read the following two articles and highlight and write down information you can use to write a suspense story about Egypt.

Read 20 minutes then write a 3 to 5 sentence summary of what you have read.

45 minutes of Iready and pass at least one lesson!

Please read 20 minutes and then write a summary of what you have read. Include the title of your book or article, the author, and a brief summary.

Please answer the attached questions about the Monkey's Paw.

You must complete 45 minutes of READING and pass at least one class by this next Wednesday during your asynchronous learning time in order to get full credit. Remember you must also have 45 minutes in math as well and pass at least one lesson.

Read 20 minutes a night and write a summary in the attached reading log. Please skip Monday.

Please work on your individual slides, using my slide and the ones that follow as your example.. Look for the slide that has your name and then make it beautiful and representative of yourself. :)
