Administrative Team

Mr. Nunez
Dear Faculty & Staff,
Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you have enjoyed a restful summer with family and loved ones. I am honored to join the Sierra Vista Middle School team in servicing our Baldwin Park community.
If I may, I would like to begin by introducing myself, my name is Julio Cesar Nuñez, and I will be serving as your Principal. This is my 13th year in the district and 15th year as an educator. I have happily served as Jones Middle School’s Assistant Principal for over eight years. Before then, I had the privilege of being an English Language Arts/ Dual Language teacher and a Curriculum Specialist.
I believe in the transformative power schools have in helping students and families achieve success. So, I am excited to be a part of the Sierra Vista Middle School that I respect as an academic leader in our district and as a top-performing middle school. I am committed to supporting your work in that arena.
This summer has been marked by numerous changes, changes that we will navigate together as we continue to open doors for students in the 2023-2024 School Year. Marlene Rodriguez has also continued to work throughout the summer updating our technology on site and setting up Chromebooks for distribution. She will continue to support Sierra Vista Middle on Mondays and Fridays, please submit tickets as needed for room set up needs.
I am eager to collaborate with each of you as we strive to help our students develop academically, physically, and socially this school year.
Julio Cesar Nuñez, Principal
