Class Expectations:
- Be Respectful: Respect yourself, your peers, adults, and the school.
- Be Responsible: Arrive to class on time, prepared and ready to learn.
- Make smart decisions: Strive to make decisions that lead to success.
Attendance:
Daily attendance is very important. Students should be in class and on time every day. Students who are frequently absent miss core instruction and learning opportunities that are essential for their success.
Materials:
Chromebook (charged 100%), Pencil, highlighter, crayons, agenda, and textbook.
Academic Honesty
All students are expected to be honest and produce original work. Failure to produce original work (cheating and/or plagiarizing) will result in a zero for all participating parties in that assignment. If this behavior continues, the students involved will be referred to administration.
Assignments
Complete all assignments on time to receive full credit. Late assignments will be marked down 20%. DO NOT WAIT until the end of the grading period to make up multiple missing assignments! There will be a cut-off of 1 week before the end of each grading period to turn in late work.
Behavior Consequences:
Failure to follow classroom and school rules will have the following consequences:
1st occurrence: warning/intervention
2nd occurrence: intervention confer with student during brunch or lunch
3rd occurrence: intervention/parent notification/after-school detention
4th occurrence: referral to school administration
The severity of a student’s inappropriate or unsafe behavior will result in an office referral and steps 1-3 will be bypassed.
* Students must meet behavior and academic expectations to be eligible for field trips and certain activities.
** After-school detention slips must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to school the next school day.
